Thanksgiving and a bike ride

Thanks to the Nelsons, Warren's cousins, we had a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner. The kids had a great time playing with cousins and we enjoyed relaxing and conversing! We're grateful for all of our blessings!

The day after Thanksgiving Warren and the kids took advantage of the great weather and a day off to go bike riding.  They absolutely loved it.

It's hard work sitting on the back of a bike!

Artwork

Several years ago a friend asked me if I would paint her some leaves based on an idea she found in a magazine.  Each painting only had one leaf on it and they were all in different hues of green.  She wanted to decorate a certain wall in her house.  I wanted to do it, but for a variety of reasons time passed and it never got done.  Well, when we went to visit these friends in San Diego I surprised them and brought them the paintings, a few years late. I was sure they would have filled that space by now, but it was still empty and waiting for my leaves. I was quite happy with how they turned out.

Baptism part 2

Somehow I forgot to include these pictures of the baptism when I wrote my first post. So here are just a few more.  Rebecca looked so sweet. After she went to bed that night and I looked at her, she looked different somehow...older, wiser.  We're grateful she is old enough to make her own choices to follow the Savior.  What a wonderful girl she is.

Oceanside

We spent an afternoon in Oceanside in conjunction with our San Diego trip.  True to tradition, we rented a "surrey with a fringe on top." We loved our hour of cruising up and down the beach. It was fun to be joined by Philipp and Fred, too.

San Diego and the Mormon Battalion

We didn't get to take an extended vacation this summer, but we made the best of our situation and went and visited some dear friends of ours in San Diego.  The Mormon Battalion had been renovated and I had wanted to take the kids there, so it was a perfect thing to do as a family. Philipp and Freddy joined us.  We all loved the presentation in the Battalion. It was nicely done. I highly recommend taking your family to see it.
