Surprise!

Some of my dear Santa Monica friends threw me a surprise baby shower last Saturday. Warren pretended he was taking me out to dinner. When we got to the restaurant he steered me in the direction of a certain table. My friends had all driven down together from SM and were sitting at the table with the menus in front of their faces. They said: "Surprise!" and I couldn't help but start crying. It was so overwhelming and sweet. The love and kindness was just what I needed. I had been feeling a little low the last couple of days. In addition to cute presents, a fun game, delicious food and great conversation my friends went around the table and all said something nice about me. It was such a lift. It was a reminder to me of how everyone needs to be loved and uplifted. I hope I will always remember to take the time to be generous with my words to those I care about.
