There is nothing like being sick to help you appreciate health once more. This time it was Theo who was sick. This week he woke up one morning with a fever. The second day of the fever and inconsolable crying I finally took him in which is sooner than I normally would have but since I could not get him to stop crying the nurse suggested I should I have him checked. They found blisters in his throat and he measured 104 at the doctor's office. She said it was a virus but if the fever was still high on Saturday I should come in again. Well, the fever only got worse and by Friday 11pm it was measuring 105.8 under his arm and 107 on his forehead. He had also been throwing up for several days. Based on all of that information the pediatric advice over the phone wanted me to take him to the ER at midnight. There was no new diagnosis, but at least the doctor confirmed that he wasn't dehydrated and was just a very sick little boy.
Yesterday it was down to 102.8 and finally this morning only 101.8. I have hope tomorrow will be even better.
It was such a hard week having a baby that would cry whether you held him or not. He wouldn't eat, didn't want his milk most of the time, and was just completely miserable. Not to mention his parents were completely exhausted. Even though he's not better yet it's so nice to at least see him standing up once again and even smiling here or there. I know a lot of people were praying for him. Thank you so much. It helps you get through those rough moments.

OH No! That is horrible. I'm so sorry. I glad that he is starting to feel better. Having a sick child is exhausting on so many levels. :(
Poor little guy! It's horrible to have a sick child, but especially with these little ones who can't tell you what's wrong. Hope he continues to get better.
I'm glad he's getting better! Sometimes I think that illness is harder on the parents than the kid! Just make sure you're taking lots of Vitamin C so you don't get sick too--that happens to me every time; my immune system gets so hammered from stress & lack of sleep.
